In 2017, I was finishing up Geography at Western Washington University. I was approached by one of my Mt St. Helens volunteers that I friended over a few volunteer days. He mentioned of climbing Denali in 2018 and gave me an option. Luckily I would finish school in March and would be able to climb in May.

 

Four of us climbed together as an independent team being on the mountain for 18 days. A New Zealander by the name of Andy joined our team from 14k camp making it five and climbed to the summit along with three others in our group
